從前從前在台北有個很有錢的土豪名字叫小土, 有天他必須出國到很遠很遠王國去受封為國王, 所以他把家裡的3個傭人找來,
對他們說: 給你們每個人10萬美金, 把這錢拿去投資, 直到我回來。
由於受封國王必須接受教育訓練, 所以小土上了國王的基礎教學、國王的權力、國王的新衣等等, 若干年後, 小土終於當上了國王, 回到天龍國。他把他的僕人再次找來, 詢問他們的投資成果。
第一位小巴說, 我投資了波克夏的股票, 現在資產翻了10倍！ 小土說, 幹得好！ 你很值得信任, 給你管10個城市, 台北、高雄、台中、台南都給你管。
第二位小查理說, 我投資了美股的ETF, 現在資產翻了5倍！ 小土說, 真有你的! 查理, 來給你掌管5個城市, 基隆、宜蘭、花蓮、台東、墾丁都是你的, 你可以大賺觀光財
第三位老王說, 老大, 這是你的10萬元, 我沒拿去投資, , 您平時太有威嚴我很害怕, 我怕把錢給弄丟了, 所以我一直藏在床底下不敢拿出來。
阿土聽了整個震怒！！！！！！ 你也知道我嚴格, 還不按照我的話做, 這麼膽小你也可以把錢放銀行, 那樣我至少還可以拿到利息, 你放在床下什麼增值都沒有, 來人啊, 把我給他的錢拿去給小巴。 這時大家嚇到……輕聲說 可是小巴已經有了100萬了… 阿土聽到了以後說, 我要給誰比較多錢？ 當然是給我說的話有聽進去照做的人, 而且管理得好的人, 如果你不照我話做, 就算你只有一點錢我也是會拿走的。拿到你會把錢交給一個只會把錢放在床底下然後不聽話不做事的人嗎？
大家聽完這則聖經小故事……有什麼想法嗎？
我覺得這則故事告訴我們, 只要我們能夠把簡單的小事做好做滿, 我們未來就有機會做大事, 因為大事也是有一連串的小事所編織而成的。拿理財來說, 如果我們連現在自己每個月的預算花費都沒有辦法管理好, 該投資不投資, 該儲蓄不儲蓄, 花費沒有節制, 就算賺再多的錢也是沒有辦法累積成財富的。 把一點一點的小錢管理好, 讓他們增值, 以後我們管大錢的時候也才能管教有方。
故事中的老王, 收了錢以後不做事, 就很像小時候媽媽給我100元台幣, 讓我去巷口買5顆雞蛋, 結果我卻把錢收起來放進我的小豬撲滿, 你想, 當媽媽發現時會作何感想？ 肯定是把那100元拿走, 交付給其他的小孩, 因為其他的小孩會聽媽媽的話, 不只買回雞蛋, 也會乖乖的把零錢找給媽媽。那媽媽當然會信任其他小孩, 下次就會給他更多的錢讓他去完成更複雜的任務。

The Parable of the Ten Minas
11 While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once. 12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’
14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’
17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’
18 “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
19 “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’
20 “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’
22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’
24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away. 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
